Accomplishments
Solano Christian Academy was voted one of the top private
schools in Solano County by the readers of the Fairfield Daily
Republic in the annual "Best of Solano" survey.
Solano County Reading Association -
In this year's (2007) writing contest three students from the 6th to 8th grades were winners.
Leadership
Training for Christ (LTC)-
The theme of LTC this year was “Here I Am” from Isaiah 6: 8. The
verse is Isaiah’s response to God when He was seeking someone to be
His spokesman. God asked, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for
Us?” Isaiah replied, “Here am I, send me.” Isaiah was willing to
step up and do what the Lord needed done.
The young people that
participate in LTC are people who are willing to live their lives
differently than the rest of the world. Current students Briana
McKinney, Yisel Reed, and Cyrina Steward, along with former students
Jeremy Grant and Myles Howard were all members of Bible Bowl teams
that performed well in the competition.
Brianna and Cyrina teamed with
two young people from the Fairfield Church of Christ, Jordan Grant
and Ga’Brielle Patton to finish in 3rd place in the 6th through 8th
grade Bible Bowl. Yisel teamed with former students Jeremy Grant and
Myles Howard to place second in the 9th through 12th grade Bible
Bowl division. Yisel also scored a perfect round in one of the five
rounds.
All the students received gold
medals for their participation in the events. These students and
former students spent many hours in study and practice to
participate in LTC events this year.
The faculty and staff
appreciate and respect these boys and girls, for their sacrifice of time and
their commitment
to study and prepare to be leaders and spokespersons for the
Lord.
